Foggy winter conditions deliver multi species catches in Biloxi!
Jared and Phillip joined me for an early morning winter trip a dense blanket of fog. The conditions were less than ideal for our 4-hour inshore trip, but we made it happen!
Until the fog burned off, we focused our efforts on fishing structure so we could stay tucked away, once the fog burned off, we switched to bottom fishing and live bait fishing techniques around piers and grasslines. We ended up landing several rat reds and boxing black drum, sheepshead, flounder, and an unexpected, but welcome latge mouth bass during our time on the water. Biloxi's inshore waters are ideal for this type of fishing because the structure and current breaks hold baitfish that attract these species consistently. We ended the day with fish on ice, great conversations, and memories that’ll last till the next time we get on the water together!
